Our Staff

Executive Producer – Keara Bruno

Keara Bruno is one of the Executive Producers of Terrapin Sports Central. She’s been working with the organization since Fall 2020. She’s had the opportunity to cover the 2023 Big Ten men’s basketball tournament in Chicago, road football games and the men’s lacrosse team’s 2022 undefeated, national championship season. She is also the lead anchor of TSC’s studio shows, The Left Bench. She loves this organization and has met some of her best friends through it. When she’s not at the journalism school or in the studio, you can find her at the beach or eating ice cream!

Executive Producer – Ricky Podgorski

Ricky Podgorski is also the Executive Producer of Terrapin Sports Central. This is his third year with TSC, and he has covered nearly every sport at UMD. He is also the lead anchor for our in-studio shows, The Left Bench, and a video reporter for football, men’s basketball, and men’s lacrosse. One of his favorite events he has covered was the 2023 Big Ten Tournament in Chicago. Reporting in the United Center was a surreal experience and a huge platform to cover Maryland men’s basketball. In his spare time, he enjoys running and is currently training for a full marathon!

Editor-in-Chief – Brandon Schwartzberg

Brandon Schwartzberg is the Editor-in-Chief of the writing side of Terrapin Sports Central. He started out as a field hockey beat writer and has worked his way up the ladder since, including covering football in 2022. His favorite moment working for TSC was going to Charlotte to cover the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.

Managing Editor – Harrison Rich

Harrison Rich is the managing editor of Terrapin Sports Central. As a freshman, he was a beat writer for men’s soccer and baseball and was able to cover the Dirty Terps’ NCAA Regional appearance in Winston-Salem. Harrison is a huge New York sports fan, his favorite teams being the Knicks, Mets and Giants.

Senior Producer – Nathan Schwartz

Nathan Schwartz is a senior producer for Terrapin Sports Central, and is entering his third year with the organization. He has covered nearly every Maryland athletic program with multiple on-campus organizations, but for TSC, he is a video reporter for football, men’s basketball, and men’s lacrosse, as well as an anchor for its in-studio show, The Left Bench. He’s had the opportunity to cover multiple road football games, and conference tournament games for both men’s soccer and men’s lacrosse. When not on the sidelines, he enjoys watching and arguing about sports with his friends.

Senior Producer – Alex Gary

Alex Gary is a Senior Producer for Terrapin Sports Central. He started working with TSC in the Fall of 2021. Alex has reported on football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball and men’s lacrosse. Along with his reporting work, Alex also serves as an anchor for The Left Bench and The Left Bench: In Focus. He is thrilled to provide new and exciting coverage to Terp Nation this year.

Senior Producer – Jonas Evans

Jonas is a junior from Glenview, Illinois and a Senior Producer for Terrapin Sports Central. In the two previous years at the organization, Jonas has anchored and directed The Left Bench shows, covered men’s and women’s basketball, football, tennis and more. In his future years with TSC, Jonas hopes to improve on all of the group’s content, as well as look for new and creative storytelling. Jonas also loves playing sports; you can find him at volleyball open gyms almost every day.

Associate Producer – Elana Mutnick

Elana Mutnick is an Associate Producer and anchor for Terrapin Sports Central. Last year she covered baseball and field hockey, and her favorite sport to cover is men’s soccer. Elana chose to pursue this career path in sports journalism to combine her love for athletics and performing, which have been an integral part of her life since grade school. She is currently a video reporter for The Diamondback, a staff writer for the publication, Stories Beneath the Shell, a staff writer and photographer for The Campus Trainer, and a copy editor for the college magazine, Her Campus. Elana is also an intern for Foul Territory, a new digital baseball show.

Associate Producer – Matthew Neus

Matthew Neus is an Associate Producer and this is his third year with Terrapin Sports Central. Matthew has covered a wide range of Maryland athletics during his time with TSC, from tennis to women’s lacrosse to women’s basketball. He was also on the sidelines for Maryland women’s soccer’s first Big Ten conference win under new coach Meghan Nemzer in 2022. When not on the sidelines, Matthew can be found behind the desk anchoring some of TSC’s studio shows throughout the semester.

Associate Producer – Alexa Wootten

Alexa is a rising junior with a focus in sports broadcast journalism. She is an Associate Producer, anchor and reporter for Terrapin Sports Central. She also is involved with WMUC Sports Radio Station, where she does play-by-play and color commentary. Alexa has interned with Yahoo Sports, Thunder Mountain Media, Golin and 3Step Sports.
