Maryland outshot Ohio State 15 to six, 12 of its shots being on goal. However, Buckeyes goalkeeper Abby Danson made nine saves, the other two being produced by the defense, helping secure the win.
Maryland faces No. 3 Ohio State and No. 7 Michigan. The Terps are undefeated versus Ohio State all-time and are seeking their first win against a top-five oppoonent this year.
The game marked another strong effort from Alyssa Klebasko, who registered seven saves on the day while only allowing one goal.
The Terps look for a sweep this weekend to extend their three-game win streak.
