16 Maryland football players receive All-Big Ten honors

Maryland football received 16 individual All-Big Ten Conference awards for the 2023 regular season on offense, defense and special teams, the conference announced. Conference coaches vote on all selections along with select media panels.

Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa and cornerback Tarheeb Still received the highest placement of all Terps, both selected to the All-Big Ten second team by the coaches. Tagovailoa was a second-team media selection as well, while the media picked Still as a third-team member. 

Tagovailoa threw for 3,377 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, all leading the Big Ten. He also recorded a 66.4 completion percentage, 145.1 passer rating, and added five rushing touchdowns as a starter in all 12 games.

Still finished in a three-way tie for second in the Big Ten with five interceptions in 10 games played. He also added 45 total tackles and two pass deflections. He was charted at a 67.8 passer rating against, according to Pro Football Focus. 

Wide receivers Tai Felton and Jeshaun Jones, tight end Corey Dyches, offensive tackle DJ Glaze and linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II were selected to the All-Big Ten third teams. Felton, Jones and Dyches appeared on the media list while Hyppolite II appeared on the coaches list. Glaze was featured on both. 

Maryland had a plethora of honorable mentions. On the defensive and special teams side, Beau Brade, Jaishawn Barham, Quashon Fuller, Ja’Quan Sheppard and Braeden Wisloski were all featured. Corey Bullock, Kaden Prather, Roman Hemby and Gottlieb Ayedze were honorable mentions on the offense. 

Maryland did not receive any 2023 individual awards.
