Maryland football picked up its second tight end commit from Georgia Friday afternoon when three-star tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo announced his commitment to the Terps on Twitter.

According to 247Sports composite rankings, Okonkwo is the No. 53 overall player in his home state and the No. 95 tight end in the nation. He and fellow Georgia-native Maleak Bryant, the 43rd best tight end in the class, are both set to arrive in College Park for the Fall 2018 season.
Okonkwo chose Maryland over Georgia Tech and Wisconsin among others.
The Georgian is Durkin’s 19th commit in the 2018 class. With the signing, the Terps Class of 2018 move up to 17th in the country and 4th in the Big Ten.
