22 games into their 2015-16 season, the No. 4 Maryland Terrapins (19-3, 8-2 B1G) have had plenty of success.

However, they have struggled on the road. The Terps have posted a 3-3 record, suffering losses at North Carolina, Michigan and Michigan State.

On Wednesday, the Terps will face Nebraska and try to earn a conference win against the Cornhuskers (12-10, 4-5 B1G).

“In this conference you play in front of sellouts, we’re going to Nebraska, they’re 12-10, there will be standing room only,” head coach Mark Turgeon said. “There will be ten inches of snow on the ground and it will be standing room only.”

As a result of their success, the Terps currently sit at third place in the Big Ten. Nebraska is in the bottom half of the conference at ninth place.

Despite the disparity in the team’s performances, guard Rasheed Sulaimon said the Terps are not overlooking their opponent.

“This is the most important game, because it’s our next one,” Sulaimon said. “The preparation that we’re going to put into this game is the same as any one… It’s a Big Ten Conference game, so we have to go in there focused and prepared. We’ll be ready to play this game.”

The contest will be the Terps’ third in the past seven days and the second on the road.

Carrying a No. 4 ranking into the Cornhusker state, the Terps expect to draw a large crowd.

“Everywhere you go it’s almost a sold out crowd, the energy they bring in their buildings is just crazy,” Sulaimon said. “That’s why you come to play basketball at Maryland. Everywhere we go, there’s going to be a crowd to see us and we’ve got to understand that. We’re going to get every team’s best shot.”

But heading into their next game, the Terps aren’t concerned with their ranking or their record. They are focused on defeating Nebraska.

“Just like any other Big Ten team, they’re good at home,” forward Robert Carter Jr. said. “They’re going to come out with a lot of energy and give us their best shot. We just have got to go in there with the same energy as any other game and try to come out with a win.”
